Musket Transport Named Top Fleet Employer for Second Year in a Row

Musket Transport, a leading transportation and logistics company, proudly announces its recognition as a Top Fleet Employer for the second consecutive year by Trucking HR Canada (THRC). This prestigious acknowledgment reinforces Musket Transport's commitment to excellence in human resources practices and workplace culture.

Adding to this achievement, Musket Transport is among the first fourteen organizations to sign THRC's innovative Women's Leadership Accord, demonstrating its dedication to advancing gender equity in the transportation industry. The Accord, launched during THRC's annual Women with Drive conference in Toronto, represents a significant step forward in promoting diversity and inclusion within the sector.

"As the Corporate Communications Officer for Musket," stated Sophia Sniegowski Begidzhanov, "I am thrilled to celebrate our second consecutive recognition as a Top Fleet Employer by Trucking HR Canada. This prestigious honor speaks volumes about our unwavering commitment to advancing the trucking industry as a premier employer and an exceptional place to build a career. For over 30 years, Musket has proudly trained and employed Canadian residents, and we remain deeply dedicated to supporting our local communities by ensuring job opportunities stay right here at home."

The Women's Leadership Accord is built on four fundamental pillars:

  • Gender Equity: Promoting equal opportunities and representation at all levels
  • Inclusivity: Creating a welcoming environment for all employees
  • Safety: Ensuring a secure workplace for everyone
  • Empowerment: Supporting professional growth and advancement

The initiative, supported by Women and Gender Equality Canada and the Women's Trucking Federation of Canada (WTFC), provides a framework for organizations to implement and maintain progressive workplace practices that support women in the transportation industry.

In regards to the accords, Sniegowski Begidzhanov stated, "As a Canadian carrier, we place great importance on being a fair, equitable, and diverse employer, actively working to attract underrepresented demographics. Today, women remain one of the largest underrepresented groups in our industry, which is why we are especially proud to be one of the first signatories of Trucking HR Canada's Women's Leadership Accord. Last year, we were also honored as a Top Employer of Women in Transportation by the Women in Trucking Association, and this only fuels our commitment to creating a more inclusive and diverse workforce. We are excited to continue our journey and aim to expand our impact, striving to be a top employer in every aspect of our business."
