Musket Transport is proud to announce its nomination as a 2024 Top Company for Women to Work in Transportation.
"Musket Transport is to be commended for earning recognition as a 2024 Top Company for Women to Work in Transportation by Redefining the Road, the official magazine for the Women in Trucking Association," said Brian Everett, Group Publisher and Editorial Director. "Organizations recognized on this impressive list have proven they are supportive of gender diversity by accommodating family and work balance; offering competitive compensation, benefits, and professional growth; and providing career advancement opportunities. Musket Transport is commended for earning this award."
Nominations were thoroughly reviewed based on several key criteria, including corporate culture supportive of gender diversity, flexible hours, work-life balance, competitive compensation and benefits, training and continued professional development, and career advancement opportunities.
This voting process carries significant weight in the final decision, with over 31,000 transportation industry professionals participating in the vote during June.
Many women in the transportation industry express the need for employers who are committed to fostering a supportive environment for gender diversity. In response to these needs, the "Top Companies for Women to Work in Transportation" recognition program was established to highlight companies that excel in these areas.
"The year 2024 has been a milestone for Musket and its divisions, including CHET, as we have been celebrated as a top employer," stated Sophia Sniegowski Begidzhanov - Corporate Communications Officer for Musket Transport. "We were first honored by the City of Mississauga and Trucking HR Canada's Top Fleet Employer program. Seizing this momentum, we submitted a nomination to the Women in Trucking Association's prestigious Top Company for Women to Work in Transportation award. We are thrilled to have received this esteemed recognition, marking our first accolade in the United States as a Canadian cross-border fleet."
