Musket Transport is proud to be recognized as a Top Fleet Employer for 2024. This honour is part of an annual program known as Top Fleet Employers, initiated in 2014, that acknowledges superior workplaces in Canada's trucking and logistics industry.
"Although we have been affiliated with Trucking HR Canada for many years, 2024 is the first year that we applied for the Top Fleet Employer Program," stated Sophia Sniegowski Begidzhanov, Corporate Communications Officer for Musket Transport. "We are beyond elated to be accepted into the program on our first try. This milestone marks a general change in mindset at Musket. Internally, we are striving to go beyond a competitive carrier and embody a competitive employer."
The Top Fleet Employers Program accepts entries from fleets of all sizes and types across the country, including for-hire, private fleets, and fleet services. This year, 104 of the industry's best workplaces have attained this distinguished honour.
To qualify for this accolade, Musket Transport underwent a thorough review of its human resources policies and programs. Alongside a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), a panel of trucking and logistics industry experts confirmed the program's rating criteria. These standards echo the issues, trends, and working environments of Canadian human resources, as well as Trucking HR Canada's excellence standards.
The recognition of Musket Transport this year represents a significant milestone in their ongoing pursuit of excellence. This acknowledgment affirms their dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive organization that provides outstanding career opportunities in trucking.
Begidzhanov highlighted what this means for the future of Musket Transport: "Now that we know we meet the HR expectations within the industry we will continue to research and develop our policies so that we exceed HR expectations within Ontario and Canada. It's time to showcase the excellent career opportunities in trucking to those outside of the industry. This recognition is our first step in achieving this ultimate goal of educating others and becoming a diverse and inclusive organization. We are still a work in progress and we look forward to the ongoing challenge of self-improvement."
